The Huffington Post reports that, after coming under fire for a particularly draconian section of H.B. 56, the Alabama Attorney General, Luther Strange, provided guidance to Alabama government workers who are required to enforce the law. Strange indicated that "Alabama government workers should not inquire about residents' immigration status under the state's immigration law during certain 'business transactions,' such as getting water, parking at a meter or renewing mobile home registration."
